Removes wastes and sparkle to your pool water with BioGuard ® Burn Out Lite. This treatment sometimes referred to as “shocking” or “oxidising” the pool, is applied weekly. It can also be applied after the pool has been heavily used or after heavy rainstorm. What the treatment dose is help the chlorine and filtration systems keep the water sparkling and free of water soluble wastes such as cosmetics, perpiration, urine and suntan lotion.
When wastes build up in the water, particularly after the pool has been used by a lot people, the effectiveness of chlorine is reduced. Because the waste dissolves into the water, filter cannot remove them. The nitrogen in the wastes then combines with chlorine to from chloramines. Chloramines are the cause of chlorine odour and irritation. Many people think that too much chlorine causes odour and irritation. That’s not true. It’s the chloramines formed by wastes in water that cause the problem. Wastes also make s the water look dull and become cloudy. They also leave the pool vulnerable to algae infestation. A simple treatment of BioGuard® Burn Out Lit will clear your water of wastes quickly.
